Founders, DJ and Cody, first met overseas while serving in the United States Marine Corps. One from the corn fields of Iowa and the other from the hollers of Alabama. They quickly bonded over the outdoors and shared stories from back home and their upbringing. As the years went by, DJ and Cody’s family grew in numbers and grew very close. Being stationed overseas, you find your people and they become your family as they are all that you have while being so far away from home. Their relationship turned from friends into brothers. The unfortunate thing about the military, however, is eventually you are forced to go your separate ways.

In 2021, DJ and Cody created Brother’s Keeper Outdoors. BKO was created to share not only their love for the outdoors but also the importance of brotherhood. Being a brother’s keeper means taking care of one another and those that are close to you. Brother’s Keeper Outdoors is an outdoor lifestyle brand that was founded on passion, authenticity and brotherhood. BKO’s mission is to create the strongest brotherhood the outdoors has ever seen through outdoor merchandise and apparel that when you wear it, it makes you feel a part of something special.
